Immortal Journey Zed reimagines the champion in a bright colored outfit that shifts his warrior look away from base Zed’s dark armor. His hair is white and tied with a red headband, and his outfit mixes deep blue and red fabrics with gold trimming and jade ornaments on the arm blades; the backplate holds two deep red shuriken. Textures lean on layered cloth and polished jade.
In game, the skin uses a red-and-yellow color palette for ability effects and adds new SFX to match the theme. Q produces red slashes and shuriken trails with yellow highlights, W spawns a red tinted clone shadow, E springs a red colored circle with his blades, and R's initial animation spawns crossed-swords on the target, the detonation spikes a sword from beneath.
The recall is a standout: Zed mounts a giant painted sword and flies around a hand-painted landscape, which ties the whole look to the Immortal Journey visual language.
The skin matches the Immortal Journey skinline by evoking ink‑brush landscapes, mythical swords, and gemstone accents (jade). It doesn’t introduce a new voice actor or special champion interactions, but it does bring updated ability icons with the V13.18 changes and full VFX/SFX updates for a cohesive feel. Chromas available for this skin are: Amethyst, Catseye, Emerald, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, and Turquoise.
Release date: August 16, 2023.
Notable updates: V13.18 added new ability icons for the skin; the launch included new VFX and SFX and the custom recall and emote shown in the images.
Immortal Journey is a mythic wuxia and xianxia inspired parallel universe where champions become sacred warriors, empresses, and musicians seeking immortality. Designs lean into silk, gold, jade, lotus motifs, enchanted weapons, and refined martial elegance tied to divine trials and celestial balance.
The universe spans several themed “schools,” including God Fist/God Staff masters, Sword disciples like Divine/Valiant/Enduring/Soaring, and gilded Prestige editions that symbolize transcendence. Story beats include ritual duels, cursed power, and rivalries such as Riven vs. Morgana, along with a 2023 chapter that introduced new immortals across different schools.
Key waves: 2017’s first set (God Fist Lee Sin; Eternal/Soaring/Sacred Sword), 2018’s Blades & Trials (God Staff Jax; Divine Sword Irelia; Enduring Sword Talon), 2019’s Festival of Blades (Majestic Empress Morgana; Splendid Staff Nami; Valiant Sword Riven + Prestige), 2022’s Prestige rework for Riven, and 2023’s expansion (Soraka Legendary; Zed, Sona, Kayle, Shyvana, Zeri + Prestige Sona).
These skins introduced the Immortal Journey universe. Lee Sin’s legendary God Fist set the tone for divine martial trials, while Yi, Fiora, and Janna embodied jade-sword disciples locked in ritual duels.
This wave expanded the lore of sacred duels and cursed power. Irelia sealed away a dragon king, Talon became humbled, and Jax finally discovered a staff worthy of his strength.
Released together during an in-game festival event, this wave highlighted Morgana’s rise as a feared empress, Riven’s reluctant duel against her, and Nami’s draconic awakening. Riven also received her first Prestige edition.
This new chapter added multiple immortals across different schools: Soraka as a legendary healer, Zed as an exile obsessed with forbidden knowledge, Sona as a harmony-weaver, and Zeri as a prodigy inventor. Kayle and Shyvana reinforced the “schools of immortality" concept.
Immortal Journey Zed is an Epic 1350 RP skin. It was part of the 2023 Immortal Journey wave and is available at its original price in the in-game shop, so it’s not a rare, unobtainable skin. Collectors who want accounts with this skin pre-unlocked can check curated skin accounts here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
The rarity is determined as follows: Common - Any skin that can still be bought using RP. Semi-Rare - Skins that are only available randomly in the mythic shop or are hard to get for other reasons. Rare - Skins that were high price or hard to get and are no longer available. Ultra-rare - Skins that were tied to real-world events or had a very short, expensive sale window and are no longer obtainable.
Yes. Because Immortal Journey Zed is an Epic skin (1350 RP), it can appear as a shard from Hextech or be sent via Mystery Gift when it is available in the shop. Anything above mythic skin rarity is not available via hextech crafting. Mythic skins can't be gained from mystery gifts too. If you’d rather skip the grind, browse verified accounts here: Buy LoL Accounts.
Immortal Journey Zed is a strong aesthetic choice if you like a wuxia, jade-and-silk theme. It offers clean VFX and a thematic kit. Whether it’s the “best” depends on what you like, for me it's a bit too brightly colored.
Other popular Zed options include PROJECT: Zed for a high-tech look and Shockblade Zed for a classic, sharp style. Compare all choices on the full list here: All Zed Skins. If you want an account that already has a skin, see Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
