Prestige Immortal Journey Sona keeps the elegant, mythic look of Immortal Journey and dresses it in a brighter, gilded palette. Her hair turns a gentle light cyan and is styled into neat twin buns, while the short cyan dress picks up sharp gold trims and soft fabric sheen. Two long ribbons flow from her headpiece, and her etwahl becomes a crystalline instrument studded with gems that catches the light as she moves. Compared to base Sona’s teal gown and wooden etwahl, this version feels lighter, more ceremonial, and distinctly opulent.
In game, the VFX add more gold and crystal refraction to her musical motifs. Q fires crisp, ribbon-like notes with golden edges; W blooms green ribbons that surround the target and pulse slowly; E lights little sparkles around allies; and R casts a wide curve with crystaline VFX. The overall feel is lucid and airy—cyan and white energy threaded with gold—while keeping ability clarity similar to Immortal Journey Sona.
Animations match the base Immortal Journey release, including the graceful twirling recall where she plays a short flourish on the etwahl. SFX lean into clean chimes and glassy accents rather than heavy reworks, and her VO uses Sona’s updated audio introduced in V10.18. As a Prestige variant, it does not add new interactions or a different voice actor; the upgrade is focused on palette, materials, and polish.
The skin fits neatly inside the Immortal Journey lineup, which borrows from East Asian myth, wuxia, and xianxia tales of disciples and immortals. The crystalline instrument and gold filigree read like ornate guqin or zither references, and the ribbon language ties her visuals to the skinline’s silks and ceremonial regalia. There are no chromas or toggles for this Prestige; the luxury finish is the feature.
Release date: August 16, 2023, for 125 Mythic Essence in the Mythic Shop.
V10.18: Sona’s voiceover was updated across skins. V12.2: Global VFX update for Sona aligned particles for modern readability; this Prestige variant uses the polished effects with gold accents.
Immortal Journey is a mythic wuxia-inspired parallel universe where champions become sacred warriors, empresses, and musicians seeking immortality. Designs lean into silk, gold, jade, lotus motifs, enchanted weapons, and refined martial elegance tied to divine trials and celestial balance.
The universe spans several themed “schools,” including God Fist/God Staff masters, Sword disciples like Divine/Valiant/Enduring/Soaring, and gilded Prestige editions that symbolize transcendence. Story beats include ritual duels, cursed power, and rivalries such as Riven vs. Morgana, along with a 2023 chapter that introduced new immortals across different schools.
Key waves: 2017’s first set (God Fist Lee Sin; Eternal/Soaring/Sacred Sword), 2018’s Blades & Trials (God Staff Jax; Divine Sword Irelia; Enduring Sword Talon), 2019’s Festival of Blades (Majestic Empress Morgana; Splendid Staff Nami; Valiant Sword Riven + Prestige), 2022’s Prestige rework for Riven, and 2023’s expansion (Soraka Legendary; Zed, Sona, Kayle, Shyvana, Zeri + Prestige Sona).
These skins introduced the Immortal Journey universe. Lee Sin’s legendary God Fist set the tone for divine martial trials, while Yi, Fiora, and Janna embodied jade-sword disciples locked in ritual duels.
This wave expanded the lore of sacred duels and cursed power. Irelia sealed away a dragon king, Talon became humbled, and Jax finally discovered a staff worthy of his strength.
Released together during an in-game festival event, this wave highlighted Morgana’s rise as a feared empress, Riven’s reluctant duel against her, and Nami’s draconic awakening. Riven also received her first Prestige edition.
This new chapter added multiple immortals across different schools: Soraka as a legendary healer, Zed as an exile obsessed with forbidden knowledge, Sona as a harmony-weaver, and Zeri as a prodigy inventor. Kayle and Shyvana reinforced the “schools of immortality" concept.
It’s a Prestige Mythic that shows up during Mythic Shop rotations so it's still available for purchase, although not always. That's why we rate it as semi-rare due to it's exclusive status and high price tag, but it's still obtainable therefore not very rare. When featured, it typically costs 125 Mythic Essence; if you prefer it pre-unlocked, browse curated accounts here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
You can’t buy it from the regular shop, but it can appear as a Mythic skin permanent in Hextech loot and sometimes via event orbs. Mystery Gifts do not drop mythic skins. To avoid RNG, you can also check verified options here: Buy LoL Accounts.
It’s a great pick if you want the Immortal Journey look with gold-and-crystal polish, but many players still favor DJ Sona for the music-driven experience or PsyOps Sona for sharp sci‑fi clarity. You can compare them all here: All Sona Skins.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
