Ruined Karma turns Karma into a harbinger of the Black Mist with jagged black armor, pale teal trim, and glowing rune cuts that replace her usual Ionian silks and warm greens. The crown and mantle look like shattered soulstone shards, and a spectral face hangs behind her, which gives the model a colder, possessed presence compared to base.
Ability effects push a sickly green-and-black palette: Q bursts as a misty blast that leaves a decayed afterglow, W tethers as a corrupted chain that gnaws at the target, E shields with a hard teal barrier and a runic pulse, and R infuses everything with Ruination flares and shard motifs. SFX are crisp and ghostly, with a hollow echo on casts; the voice uses a filtered corruption over her normal lines to sell the theme without changing her personality.
The skin launched alongside the 2021 Ruination/Sentinels of Light event and fits the broader Ruined skinline’s mix of broken gemstones, spectral teal light, and Black Mist flourishes. It also includes a custom recall where shards and mist wrap around her before she vanishes, and it ships with eight chromas (Citrine, Cursed, Emerald, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite) that shift the highlights while keeping the core dark silhouette.
Release date: January 21, 2021. In Patch 11.11 Riot updated Karma’s VFX for clarity, which subtly improved how Ruined Karma reads in-game. Karma’s full champion relaunch happened in Patch 3.5 (new VO, animations, model, textures, VFX/SFX), and all later skins, including Ruined, build on that modernized base.
Ruined Karma belongs to the Ruined King Saga, an interconnected skinline that tells the canon story of Viego’s return, the spread of the Black Mist, and the champions corrupted by it. This saga spans both Ruined skins (those taken by the Mist) and Sentinels of Light skins (those who resist it).
Ruined Karma is not rare because it is a 1350 RP Epic skin that stays in the shop, and its wide loot availability keeps it common; collectors can also find accounts with it already unlocked here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Yes, it can drop as a skin shard from Hextech chests, orbs, and capsules, and it can appear in Mystery Gifts since it is not limited; if you prefer, you can also pick up a ready account on LoL Accounts.
It’s a strong pick if you like darker themes and sharp readability, but players who prefer serene fantasy often choose Tranquility Dragon Karma for its warm jade effects or Winter Wonder Karma for a festive look; you can compare them and the rest here: All Karma Skins.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
