Immortal Journey Soraka refashions Soraka into a calm, ritual figure whose outfit mixes silk-like blues and whites with gold trims. She has a long white ponytail and big cyan horn topped by a small crown make her look more like a wandering monk-unicorn than the base champion, whose look is simpler and celestial.
The skin’s VFX leans on green, blue, and purple tones: heals still use green color but gain floating flower pink petals. Q throws 5 celestial swords from the heaven that shift from cyan-yellow to blue when they hit, E looks like a pond with falling lily flowers, when the lily hits the pond a bright blue unicorn spawns rooting enemies. This really cool animation is a little bit pay to win because it shows the exact time E root will trigger. Her R shines a bright angel's ray on Soraka and spawns a blue unicorn.
Immortal Journey adds new animations across the board — basic attacks, cast animations, emotes, and a homeguard recall — and the recall/ultimate sequences that form a pond and show a unicorn in slow motion are the skin’s most notable unique effects.
The new voiceover work by Lisa Lindsley provides roughly eleven minutes of fresh lines and matches the skin’s lore about Soraka refusing an assigned path to earn immortality herself, and the SFX were updated to emphasize water, petals, and soft chimes rather than raw astral energy.

Immortal Journey is a mythic wuxia and xianxia inspired parallel universe where champions become sacred warriors, empresses, and musicians seeking immortality. Designs lean into silk, gold, jade, lotus motifs, enchanted weapons, and refined martial elegance tied to divine trials and celestial balance.
The universe spans several themed “schools,” including God Fist/God Staff masters, Sword disciples like Divine/Valiant/Enduring/Soaring, and gilded Prestige editions that symbolize transcendence. Story beats include ritual duels, cursed power, and rivalries such as Riven vs. Morgana, along with a 2023 chapter that introduced new immortals across different schools.
Key waves: 2017’s first set (God Fist Lee Sin; Eternal/Soaring/Sacred Sword), 2018’s Blades & Trials (God Staff Jax; Divine Sword Irelia; Enduring Sword Talon), 2019’s Festival of Blades (Majestic Empress Morgana; Splendid Staff Nami; Valiant Sword Riven + Prestige), 2022’s Prestige rework for Riven, and 2023’s expansion (Soraka Legendary; Zed, Sona, Kayle, Shyvana, Zeri + Prestige Sona).
These skins introduced the Immortal Journey universe. Lee Sin’s legendary God Fist set the tone for divine martial trials, while Yi, Fiora, and Janna embodied jade-sword disciples locked in ritual duels.
This wave expanded the lore of sacred duels and cursed power. Irelia sealed away a dragon king, Talon became humbled, and Jax finally discovered a staff worthy of his strength.
Released together during an in-game festival event, this wave highlighted Morgana’s rise as a feared empress, Riven’s reluctant duel against her, and Nami’s draconic awakening. Riven also received her first Prestige edition.
This new chapter added multiple immortals across different schools: Soraka as a legendary healer, Zed as an exile obsessed with forbidden knowledge, Sona as a harmony-weaver, and Zeri as a prodigy inventor. Kayle and Shyvana reinforced the “schools of immortality" concept.
Immortal Journey Soraka is a Legendary skin priced at 1820 RP. It was released in 2023 as part of the Immortal Journey wave. Since it’s an RP-purchasable Legendary and not a retired or event-only drop, it isn’t considered rare by collectors. It's her newest Legendary skin, at the time of writing this (2025) and it's clearly visible. The animations, VFX and sounds really carry this skin. I really like the unicorn motif, especially on her E, which is a little bit pay to win. It keeps her at the convenient thematic for base Soraka. Feels like a very premium version of base Soraka with an eastern vibe. I really, really recommend it for all soraka lovers.
