Super Kennen Lol Skin

Super Kennen is a completely fresh take on the tiny ninja Yordle. Released back in March of 2017, it’s a part of the April Fools skins, alongside Pug’Maw, Renektoy and Moo Cow Alistar. Just looking at the splash art gives us enough information to determine that this skin line was probably based on Toy Story.

Renektoy belongs to the whimsical Toy Box thematic, where champions appear as living toys from Dino Gnar’s chest. The line mixes plush dolls, action figures, and novelty collectibles with playful VFX and chroma sets. Although not a seasonal line by default, many Toy Box skins have been tied to Snowdown or April Fool’s events.

While the skin belongs to the Toy Box universe it belongs to the April Fools thematic as well which goes back to 2010 and early days of league if you want to learn more about All April Fools and Urf skins read more here.

Toybox Skins Trivia

• Toy Box skins parody Toy Story, with Dino Gnar as “Andy,” Renektoy as “Buzz,” and Moo Cow Alistar as “Woody.”
• Renektoy is a direct nod to 90s toy crazes (Tickle Me Elmo, Tamagotchi, etc.), complete with shortages and scalpers.
• Several Toy Box skins started as Snowdown Showdown releases: Ragdoll Poppy (2010), Toy Soldier Gangplank (2011).
• Moo Cow Alistar, Renektoy, Super Kennen, and Pug’Maw came from April Fool’s 2017.
• Sewn Chaos Amumu and Blitzcrank were canceled skins that still count as part of the Toy Box theme.

We’ve got a playful dog that wants to ravage the Toys, and we’ve even got a superhero akin to Buzz Lightyear – that superhero is, of course, Super Kennen.

The skin itself has received a few minor visual changes, for starters, Kennens hair is now white and wild, strands sticking up all over the place – the goggles are a nice touch, as is the lightning bolt inalid upon his chest.

He now throws blue lightning bolts instead of his usual shurikens, and the headphones and wristband really sell the hyper personality of this little hero. We do wish they would have added electric particles to his abilities, but Riot achieved what they were going for – Super Kennen is a speedster with electric abilities who you won’t want to miss.
