Dragon Trainer Tristana is a common skin that was released in 2015.
The skin is a reference to Hiccup and Toothless from the film series How to Train Your Dragon. However, her dragon is actually called Riggle. When the skin was released, Tristana became the 3rd champion to have 2 legendary skins along with Corki and Cho’Gath. Dragon Trainer Tristana also shares the same theme with Dragon Trainer Lulu.
Upon its release, the skin was available in store for 1820RP and has been available ever since. The skin features a complete visual makeover of Tristana including a brand new model, weapon, and texture to match the new theme. Her Boomer has also been replaced with a baby dragon that Tristana carries around with her.
In addition to the new models and textures, there are also new particle changes. When Tristana enables her rapid fire ability, Riggle’s mouth glows orange which indicates the ability has been activated. The particles that Riggle fires have also been changed into small balls of fire. Tristana’s explosive charge also now places a new particle on top of the targets head. Instead of the default timer bomb, it’s now been changed to a bright orange dragon egg that leaves a fiery explosion. Tristana’s ultimate Buster Shot also has a new particle which is a massive fireball projectile.
Dragon Trainer Tristana also comes with a whole new range of sound and voiceovers which helps give the skin character.
The skin also includes a new recall animation where Tristana puts down her dragon and they have a play before recalling back together.
If you’re looking to add this skin to your collection then be sure to head on over to the Riot store and grab it before it’s too late. Currently available for 1820RP there’s no knowing when this skin will get removed so don’t leave it to the last minute.
We've had our trained Yordles take some images of this skin in game. None of our Yordles were eaten by the dragon during skin pictures.

In Dragon World, two great dragonfires have already scorched civilization. Each cataclysm birthed new callings: Slayers to hunt the beasts, Trainers to coexist with them, and later, Dragonmancers—ascetics who embody draconic ideals to prevent a third age of ruin. It’s the same world across multiple eras and philosophies, not separate AU shards.
Think of Dragonmancers as the “balance” faction: neither slaying nor taming, but aligning humanity with draconic principles to keep the world from tipping back into fire.
The world cycles through resurgence and response: dragons return → factions react → philosophies evolve. Dragonmancers appear latest in the cycle, when cultures seek synthesis over conquest or domestication.
(Related Dragon World thematics such as Dragonslayer, Dragon Trainer, and Dragon Master/Oracle exist in the same universe but are distinct sub-factions.)
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
