Masque of the Black Rose Samira swaps her rugged desert-mercenary leathers for a refined masquerade look fit for Noxus’s secret society. She wears layered black and crimson silks trimmed with gold, her hair is dyed a striking red, and a half mask covers the right side of her face to echo her missing eye. Her pistols receive gilded filigree and polished trims while the sword remains close to the base model, giving a tasteful mix of opulence and familiarity.
In game, the skin leans on sharp pink and deep purple effects to sell the Black Rose theme: shots spark with bright magenta, slashes leave a violet afterglow, and small rose petals flick off ability hits and spins. Q fires a clean pink projectile or arcs a purple-edged slash up close, W forms a swirling petal-laced barrier, E paints a quick purple dash line, and R blooms into a storm of muzzle flashes wrapped in pink-violet swirls. The palette is darker and more ceremonial than base Samira, but it keeps clarity with high-contrast hits and readable trails.
This skin ties directly into the Masque of the Black Rose lineup and Elise’s grand ball, nodding to classic masquerade imagery and baroque costume details. There are no noted new animations or voice lines, so the personality stays true to base Samira while the VFX carry the Black Rose mood with petals and saturated colors.
Release date: September 1, 2025, as part of the Masque of the Black Rose battle pass event. No post-release updates have been noted.
In June 2025 it received updates with improved model and custom VFX.
Masque of the Black Rose is a Noxian masquerade thematic set staged at the Silken Danse, a high-society ball hosted by Elise. It blends opulent fabrics, gilded trims, and subtle rose motifs with shadowy Noxian magic, turning courtly pleasantries into power plays.
In this universe, nobles and operatives mingle under ornate masks as letters and whispers cut sharper than blades. Elise acts as mistress of ceremonies, with invitations reaching Ezreal (Jarro Lightfeather), Samira, Renata Glasc, and Vladimir—while Katarina receives a deadlier brief. The line launched alongside the “Welcome to Noxus” event.
Trivia: Patch V25.11 updated Elise, Renata, Samira, and Vladimir to align with the new Pass standard. League Partners received Black Rose–themed invitations and masks for the January 5, 2025 Silken Danse promo.
Masque of the Black Rose Samira is a common skin because it was wildly available and given as a reward on the 2025 Season 1 Act 1 Premium Battle Pass (Level 30), not a permanent shop skin. If you want it without waiting for a rerun, you can look for accounts that already have it here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
During the event, no—you had to unlock it through the pass. After the event, it usually goes legacy and isn’t in standard Hextech or Mystery Gift pools; sometimes these return via the Mythic Shop or future passes, but that’s not guaranteed. If you’d rather skip the wait, browse verified options here: Buy LoL Accounts.
It’s great if you want a refined masquerade style with dark red-and-gold trims and rose-petal pink/purple VFX. For bigger gameplay feel changes and VO, many players prefer Soul Fighter Samira, while High Noon Samira offers a gritty western vibe.
