Braum Lionheart dresses the champion in smooth blue plate trimmed with bronze, replacing his usual bare-chested, fur-trim look with a full paladin-style outfit; the armor has engraved lines and rivets that read as a crafted heraldic set rather than the rough, home-forged gear of base Braum. His shield is the most obvious change: the familiar door-like shield is reinterpreted as a massive carved stone slab engraved with a roaring lion and accented by glowing blue veins, which makes his defensive identity read more like a knight’s tower shield than the original wooden door.
There are no VFX, SFX or animation changes compared to the base look. The only difference is the model, which is standard for regular skins.
The skin fits the Rift Quest skinline’s fantasy RPG angle and leans on classic paladin. It obviously references Richard I of England.
Release date: July 12, 2015.
This is a low-cost, standard skin and has not had major gameplay updates since release; it remains part of Braum’s older cosmetic lineup in the Rift Quest fantasy theme and has no notable chroma releases tied to the original launch.
Riftquest is a tabletop fantasy-themed skinline. Champions appear as classic roleplaying characters: knights, rogues, clerics, barbarians, and wizards. The set plays like a tongue-in-cheek RPG session, with each champion acting as a party member or NPC in a shared campaign.
This universe is presented as a single cohesive theme: Riftquest. It frames champions as player characters and NPCs in a fantasy adventure, rather than splitting into multiple sub-lines.
Lore summary: danger and monsters roam the land of Runeterra, and a ragtag party of adventurers must roll dice, fight foes, and tell tall tales. The Rift Master and the party banter like friends around a gaming table. The tone is playful and self-aware, leaning into RPG tropes and in-jokes.
Trivia: the line treats champions as roleplaying archetypes (Knight, Barbarian, Rogue-Paladin, Cleric, etc.). Some skins include chromas. Several champions in the set are depicted as both players and NPCs within the same fictional campaign.
Braum Lionheart is listed as a 750 RP skin. Under common rarity rules, that makes it a regular purchasable skin. If Riot marks a skin as limited availability, then collectors may treat it as harder to find. For players who want the skin now without waiting, accounts with this skin already unlocked can be purchased from curated sellers.
Because Braum Lionheart is not a mythic or above tier skin, it can appear as a Hextech shard or be given via Mystery Gift when it is in the loot pool. Availability depends on whether Riot has the skin active in the store or loot rotation. If you prefer to skip the randomness, check verified account options here: Buy LoL Accounts.
Braum Lionheart is a strong pick if you like the tabletop-knight theme and character-driven charm. However it's a regular tier skin with no special interactions, SFX or VFX. It's quite medicore but worth getting if you like RPGs, considering the low cost. If you want other options or to compare styles, browse full lists and account offers.
