DRX Kindred Details

Pyosik was a longtime Kindred one-trick; even his name (“표식”) means “mark,” a nod to Kindred’s passive. So Kindred was the obvious pick for his Worlds skin.

DRX Kindred redecorates the duo with a clean, modern look keyed to the DRX esports identity: Lamb swaps her usual cloth and furs for a fitted white and navy armor suit with gold trim and a stylized DRX mask with an X for a face. While Wolf is reimagined as a horned, metallic dragon skull rather than the usual spectral wolf form. I really like this alternative version of this duo that gives it a very different taste.

Abilities are reworked visually to match the DRX theme — arrows and projectiles look like cut ice and leave sharp blue trails. Q throws little crystaline shards and markes targets hit with small Xs, likely referancing team's logo. W doesn't have a lot of differences, other than wolves new model and the border being blue instead of black. E turns from classic sign into circular dragon likely referancing earlier DRX name - DragonX. Ultimate ability flashes DRX logo in the middle.

The skin ties directly to the World Champions 2022 skinline and intentionally references the real‑world DRX team through colors, emblems, and celebratory motifs rather than referencing jokes or external media.

Unique touches include new projectile models, refreshed SFX, and a custom recall where Kindred sits behind the desk in front of a screen from which we can see flashing love emotes. While voice lines remain unchanged so the champion’s personality still matches base Kindred.

DRX Kindred History

Riot released these skins on the PBE in May and across live servers with Patch 13.11 on June 1. It's a part of the World Champions 2022 lineup to honor DRX’s victory and was later placed in the Legacy Vault as a limited commemorative item.

No major gameplay or rework patches followed the cosmetic release; its notable updates are cosmetic only, focusing on VFX and SFX polish at launch.

DRX Skinline information

DRX is a Worlds 2022 winner skinline celebrating the DRX roster’s miracle run. The set uses an "unbreakable" theme tied to the team’s identity at the tournament.

The line includes standard champion skins and a single Prestige variant for Aatrox. The champions chosen reflect player signatures — for example, Pyosik’s pick for his skin is Kindred, and Deft’s is Caitlyn. These skins are often released about a year after the victory and may be accompanied by official merch like figures on Riot’s store.

Lore: The DRX skins lean into resilience and team spirit. Each champion is styled to match the idea of being "unbreakable" — armor, motifs, or effects that suggest endurance and resolve.

Is DRX Kindred rare? How much is it worth?

DRX Kindred is a 1350 RP Epic skin. Since it is a standard RP-purchasable release (not legacy or limited), it’s not considered rare. It still returns to the shop during major esport tournaments such as Worlds and MSI. Can you get DRX Kindred from Hextech or Mystery Gift?

Yes. DRX Kindred is an epic RP skin, so it can appear as a shard in Hextech/Masterwork chests and can be received via Mystery Gift. Anything above mythic rarity is not available via Hextech crafting, and mythic skins cannot be received from Mystery Gifts.

Is DRX Kindred worth it? Is it the best skin for Kindred?

I honestly love this skin. It's one of the most original variants of Kindred and I highly recommend it. The only thing that could be better is if it was a legendary skin. Regardless it's a great pickup for all Kindred mains. Whether it's the best depends on what you value: visuals, VFX, or theme.
