Pentakill Olaf turns the Berserker into the band’s drummer with a look that leans into spiked leather, studded denim, and stage-ready swagger. Compared to base Olaf’s rugged viking gear, this model swaps the fur and iron for a metalhead outfit: spiked shoulder pads, chains, and long hair with a thick beard, while his axes are reimagined as glowing drumstick-styled weapons that read clearly in-game.
In play, the skin trades the earthy base effects for hot, fiery red VFX across the kit. Undertow throws a drumming stick in the shape of a skull on a stick that leaves a red trail, W pulses with a purple glow, E slams with a purple and a sound of someone hitting a drum, and Ragnarok wraps Olaf in a blazing aura that is no different from the base. Ability SFX were updated to have subtle concert vibe, fitting the Pentakill soundscape, but there are no new voice lines.
This skin sits cleanly in the Pentakill lineup, Riot’s in-universe heavy metal band, echoing album art and live-show theatrics rather than a specific real-world reference. It keeps the base animation set and recall, so it plays like classic Olaf, just louder and hotter thanks to the red effects and sharpened metal aesthetic.
Release date: October 1, 2012.
Patch V4.18: Texture update; Patch V7.15 and V7.16: Further texture updates; Patch V9.4: New VFX pass to modernize ability effects.
Pentakill is League’s original heavy metal band universe where champions become rock icons with instrument weapons, studded stage gear, and pyrotechnic-red VFX. The band canon features six core members—Karthus, Kayle, Mordekaiser, Olaf, Sona, and Yorick—melting faces across Runeterra with thunderous riffs and drum-solo carnage.
The universe spans albums and eras: Smite and Ignite (2014), II: Grasp of the Undying (2017), and III: Lost Chapter (2021), plus the crossover Dissonance of Pentakill featuring Viego. Trivia: Gnar appears as an official Pentakill superfan, and the band’s lore leans into tongue-in-cheek metal mythos with “penta-platinum” fame and world-shattering concerts.
Pentakill Olaf costs 975 RP and is still sold in the in-game shop, so it’s Common and not rare. If you want an account that already owns it, you can browse curated options here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Yes. Because it isn’t Mythic or Legacy-only, it can drop from Hextech/Masterwork chests, event orbs, and Mystery Gifts, and you can also upgrade it from a skin shard; loot is RNG, so results aren’t guaranteed—if you’d rather skip the grind, check verified accounts here: Buy LoL Accounts.
It’s great if you want the band theme and fiery red effects, but many players also rate Brolaf (Legendary, full VO and custom anims) and Dragonslayer Olaf (1350 RP with modern VFX) highly. Compare every option here: All Olaf Skins, or pick an account with your favorite unlocked: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
