Prestige Chosen of the Wolf Swain reframes the Noxian grand general as an exalted hunter in Volrachnun, dressed in a white suit under a black, fur-trimmed coat with bright gold accents. Compared to base Swain’s battle-worn armor and demonic ravens, this version has a glamour vibe: younger features, long black hair, a styled moustache, and a gold wolf head necklace, mark from a champion of the Eternal Chase.
In game, the color story swaps to white and purples that immediately set it apart from the base. Q fires crisp, cold bolts; W spawns a big blue wolf head instead of the usual red eye; and E traces an icy tether that snaps back into a clawed snare with crystalline binds.
R has swain wear a signature wolf mask but replaces solid wings with shimmering ice-like silhouettes, and the draining aura takes on a cold, spectral look rather than the warmer demonic effect from base. The SFX follow suit with sharper, glassy textures that feel like cracking frost and cutting wind.
Animations are shared with the non-Prestige version, so you get the same recall and motion polish without extra emotes. There are no new voice lines or a different actor; the voice stays the same, while the SFX receive a frosty pass to match the VFX.
The theme nods to mythic “Wild Hunt” imagery—fur, trophies, and a ceremonial coat—elevated into a Prestige palette of white, black, and gold. As a Prestige, it does not have chromas and is meant to be the premium variant of Chosen of the Wolf.
Release date: June 11, 2024, launched alongside the Chosen of the Wolf skinline with an event that offered a Prestige track.
Availability moved to the Mythic Shop for 125 Mythic Essence after the event; champion-wide V8.3 relaunch (years earlier) updated Swain’s base model, VFX/SFX, VO, and kit, benefiting all skins thereafter.
Chosen of the Wolf reimagines champions as elite hunters bound to Volrachnun—the Wolf’s afterlife—where they join the Eternal Chase. The look leans on cool tones, wolf sigils, ceremonial regalia, refined fabrics, and sharp metallic trim, with icy, clean magic rather than fiery or bloody effects.
The line ties into in‑universe stories and moments like Blood Sweat & Tears and Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf, highlighting the Wolf’s call, the Eternal Chase, and how each chosen warrior adapts to this spectral realm.
This Prestige skin is semi-rare because it costs 150 Mythic Essence and only shows up during Mythic Shop rotations, not the regular store. However it can still be obtained contrary to rare or ultra rare skins, it just has limited availability. Collectors can also look for accounts that already own it here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
No, Mystery Gifts won’t drop Prestige skins. Hextech loot has small chance to drop Mythic Skin at 0.04% so while theoretically possible it's highly unlikely. If you want to skip the wait, you can browse Buy LoL Accounts that may already have it.
It’s a top pick if you like cool, readable VFX and a regal hunter style, but many players also rate Dragon Master Swain and Crystal Rose Swain; you can compare them all here: All Swain Skins.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
