Arcane Brawler Vi recreates Vi’s Act 2 look from Arcane Season 2 and leans hard into a tech-punk feel. This created problems... Riot had to match the release date of the skins with release date of the show and it's not been as successful as it could be. As an example Brawler VI has different gauntlets than in the show, they have more scrappy look and were probably supposed to reference a moment in Arcane when her gloves broke and had to be fixed with scrap (probably by Ekko). This never happened in the show though and was probably cut due to time constraints. (Some people claimed that the show was initially planned for up to 4 seasons!) The skin swaps the base champion’s brighter colors and simpler mechanics for darker leathers, torn denim and heavy scrap gauntlets to reference the moment VI and Caitlyn relationship took a sudden stop due to growing radicalization of Cait due to Ambessa's growing influence.
Some players also complained about the similarity to the base VI. While we are used to Legendaries being a complete reimagining of the champion I think we have to cut some slack to Riot here.. Afterall it's the version of a champion from the cannon story, so do not expect it to be a brand new experience.
Compared to base Vi the model uses grittier textures and more scrap on the gauntlets; her hair switches to black with pink accents and her silhouette reads heavier and more urban than the original. The skin’s VFX and SFX are all-new and use a red-and-cyan palette — the passive bears Piltover gear motifs that tie the look to the city, and the ultimate summons visible arcane runes that give the ability a distinct ringed cast effect.
The package includes new animations across the board: reworked basic attacks that emphasize gauntlet impact, custom ability animations, a homeguard animation, new emotes and a custom recall; a notable animated moment shows Vi shadow-boxing where ghostly claw marks appear and she gives one a brief, almost tender look, most likely referencing fight with Vander. The voice are also updated, with roughly nine minutes of new lines performed by Cia Court and matching sound design that pairs with the punchy VFX to make abilities feel weighty.
Her emotes are reworked to reference the show's events, her joke animation (Ctrl+1) has her eat cupcakes while mumbling: "Everything reminds me of her", referencing sweet nickname she has for Caitlyn - "Cupcake". The taunt has her iconic line: "Bring it" with charging gauntlets. Dance plays an animation of VI hitting the dummy from the original location of the gang in season 1 and laugh being well... a simple laugh animation.
The skin belongs to the Arcane universe and directly references the Netflix series rather than a joke or unrelated pop reference, so it reads like a faithful in‑game adaptation of her Act 2 appearance.
Release date: 20 November 2024.
No re-releases since and is currently unavailable in the shop, but it's supposed to return again in 2025 on Nov 19.
Arcane is a skinline based on the Netflix series set in Piltover and Zaun. The skins show how champions looked during events from the show. They mix hextech tech, street grit, and dramatic character moments from the story.
Lore: In Piltover and Zaun, invention and decay sit side by side. Hextech changed the cities and the people in them. The Arcane skins show characters at key moments — grief, revenge, survival, and power. They feel cinematic and tied to the show’s scenes.
Trivia: The Arcane line has multiple releases across 2021–2025. Some Arcane variants were released for free R, some as legendary-tier or epic paid releases, and a few arrived through events or prestige tracks.
Arcane Brawler Vi is priced at 1820 RP and was released in November 2024. Because it could be bought with RP in the store, but is now a time limited skin it's considered semi-rare. It might return in the future, it was hinted by Riot Games that we will see those skins again. When? Only time will tell. Yes. Arcane Brawler Vi is a store legendary and not a mythic-only or permanently event-locked skin, so it can appear as a shard from Hextech/Masterwork chests or be sent as a Mystery Gift. Loot is never guaranteed. If you prefer to skip the randomness, you can browse verified accounts here: Buy LoL Accounts.
That depends on what you value. Arcane Brawler Vi is a strong choice if you like the Arcane look, new VFX, and a high-tier presentation.
