Old God Malphite turns the Shard of the Monolith into a looming deity of the Coven, replacing his sandy rock look with jagged black stone, bone-like protrusions, and hot pink sigils that gather around a central, exposed eye motif. Compared to base Malphite’s earthy, mossy tones and green energy, this skin looks colder and more ritualistic, with sharp edges, ivory accents, and a constant eldritch glow that sells the ancient god corruption.
Abilities use new purple and bone-white VFX that feel arcane and unsettling: Q leaves a pale shard trail with occult hints, W wraps his fists in a bone-glow reinforcement, E cracks the ground with and spawns black crow silhouettes, and R slams down with a dark shockwave ring that spawns even more crows. The SFX add low rumbles with an occultist sound effect and they pair well with the filtered voice that deepens and distorts his base lines without adding new quotes.
The skin includes a custom recall which looks like he's breaking away from a summoning rite. First Malphite scratches the ground then his spikes grow and he breaks his chains, tying it squarely to the Coven line’s witchcraft and eldritch themes, which nod to Lovecraftian horror and sacrificial iconography. It sits in the Coven skinline and the Coven universe, and it offers nine chromas (Catseye, Dark Ritual, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite) to shift the stone, bone, and eye colors while keeping the same eerie mood.

Eclipse is a dark, alternate-universe saga about a world where monastic knights wield sun and moon power to fight witches, eldritch gods, and the horrors of the Elderwood. It blends grim fantasy with ritual imagery: bone-and-antler motifs, runic sigils, and moody palettes of obsidian, violet, and gold.
This universe officially includes five thematics: General Eclipse (Solar/Lunar orders, Sun-Eater), Coven (witch queens), Old Gods (slain deities rising again), Elderwood (ancient forest spirits), and Omen of the Dark (storybook gothic fable). Lore highlights: the Sun-Eater devours the sun, Eclipse Knights rise, and the Coven seeks to resurrect the Old Gods for a ruthless “order.” Trivia: “Omen of the Dark” draws inspiration from Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and Eclipse thematically intersects with Riftquest, Ye Olde, and Winged Reign.

It’s a top pick for the dark-fantasy theme and strong VFX. It's one of my favorite series bringing in Witcher like dark-fantasy theme into League.
