Star Guardian Janna turns the Priestess of the Tempest into the team’s composed mentor and protector. She trades her base blue-and-gold gown for a sleek white and violet bodysuit with gold trim, a high collar, and trailing sashes. Her hair lifts in a magenta arc, and her staff becomes a winged golden star. In-game, the skin leans on soft pastel purples and yellows with sparkly, starry VFX that make each breeze feel like stardust.
Howling Gale becomes a shimmering purple tornado with wing and star motifs, Zephyr is a small star familiar that leaves a warm, pastel trail, Eye of the Storm wraps allies in a golden star crest shield, and Monsoon blooms into a gentle, star-filled healing field. A custom recall shows a magical transformation with orbiting stars, and a new homeguard animation gives her a quick, radiant takeoff. The theme nods to classic magical-girl anime, fitting right into the 2016 Star Guardian lineup and their cosmic school-life setting.
This skin received a broad VFX update in patch 12.19 for clarity and color consistency, so effects read cleaner than the original release. Janna’s ability icons were also updated in 13.18 (champion-wide), so the HUD now matches her modern look. There are new airy SFX but no unique voice lines or new voice actor; the performance stays true to base Janna.
Release date: 5/10/16. V12.19: VFX update. V13.18: New ability icons (champion-wide). V4.19: New splash art. V1.0.0.123: New splash art.
Star Guardian is a parallel-universe line about school-age heroes chosen by the First Star to protect the cosmos. Season 1 formed the first full team and uses bright, anime-inspired designs, winged stars, and soft pastel VFX.
