Warmonger Sion turns Sion into a hulking undead warlord with horned black plate and a glowing orange core in his chest. The jagged axe, scorched metal textures, and red accents push a brutal dark-fantasy feel that’s meaner and hotter than base Sion’s gray necromancy look.
In-game, abilities carry ember-orange slashes, sparks, and a furnace-like glow, making swings feel heavier and more violent. It’s not tied to a seasonal event; it’s a classic Legacy skin that focuses on war-torn armor and molten energy rather than holiday flair or pop-culture jokes.
Release date: July 18, 2011. Patch 4.18: full Sion relaunch with new model, textures, VFX/SFX, voiceover, animations, and lore updates for all skins. Patch 6.7: adjusted splash art. Patch 6.17: new splash art.
Warmonger Sion is a standalone Legacy theme, not part of a formal skinline. It shares the classic “dark warlord” tone found in older Sion skins but doesn’t have linked lore or a named line.
It’s Semi-rare. The skin is Legacy, so it’s not always in the shop and mainly appears during Legacy Vault returns or as loot, which gives it mild rarity without a high price tag. If you’re collecting, you might look for accounts that already own it: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Yes. You can obtain it from Hextech Crafting via skin shards, rerolls, or as a drop from event orbs/capsules, and it can appear in Mystery Gifts during eligible periods. If you want an account that already has it, check LoL Accounts.
It’s a solid pick if you like a harsher, molten warlord look without flashy extras. For more features, many players prefer Mecha Zero Sion for its legendary-level effects and voice, or Blackfrost Sion for icy visuals and crisp VFX at 1350 RP. You can compare them here: All Sion Skins.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
