Fright Night Nunu & Willump swaps the duo’s snowy, fur‑covered look for a night‑time sketchbook style built around the “monster under the bed” idea: Willump is a big smiling horned creature covered in blue, black and white pencil‑scribble textures and Nunu sits above him on a tiny bed. Compared to the base champion, which reads as a wintry yeti and child, this skin feels thinner and inkier in silhouette, with sharper turquoise highlights and hand‑drawn edge details instead of fluffy fur.
A really nice touch is that his passive (Call of the Freljord) displays a dirty sock indicator above enemies! Unfortunately, his Q (Consume) doesn't feature any new particles - it appears to be simple recolor of the original ability effect, which is disappointing given how impressive the model itself is. Instead of rolling a snowball, Willump rolls a massive ball of trash during W (Biggest Snowball Ever!). Sadly, the VFX on impact again looks like basic recolor of the original snow effects... His E (Snowball Barrage) snowballs are replaced with small, thorny rune projectiles that display a very similar indicator above enemy heads. His ultimate (Absolute Zero) channels a spectral hardwood floor that's cracked with holes, which erupts into radiant spectral light.
The skin includes a custom recall where Willump actively searches for Nunu while Nunu hides behind him. Emotes are the same as base but they actually added custom textures to some of them!
Fright Night Nunu & Willump sits in the Fright Night skinline and follows its childlike‑horror motif, using the “monster under the bed” trope and a pencil/ink visual style that nods to sketchbook art and children’s drawings; the cracked floorboard ultimate and ink splat VFX are the most recognizable unique effects.
Chromas: Catseye, Citrine, Emerald, Ghoulish, Obsidian, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite.
Release date: 25/9/24.
Notes: Launched as part of a full relaunch (listed as V8.17), which included a new model, new splash art, new abilities, new VFX/SFX, a full new voiceover and updated lore for the champion. The relaunch overhauled the original Nunu & Willump presentation to fit modern visual and audio standards and to introduce the Fright Night theme and chromas.
Fright Night is a horror-themed set inside the Neighborhood Nightmare universe. Champions become gothic, spooky versions of themselves. The style leans into Tim Burton-like vibes: crooked silhouettes, haunted house props, and playful macabre details.
The larger universe officially includes two thematics: Fright Night (the haunted-house, camp, and boarding-house themes) and Goth (melancholic, dark-fashion takes on champions).
Lore: The Toadstool Boarding House drifts across the land on giant frog legs. It takes in monsters and lost souls. Mother Glasc greets new lodgers and finds them rooms. Nearby, Creepaway Camp spawns the campfire nightmares. Strange counselors and toys hide secrets. Together these places form the Fright Night tales.
Trivia: Fright Night is a Neighborhood Nightmare update based on the Goth set. It draws heavy inspiration from Tim Burton films like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands. Some skins include playful rhymes and story bits in their flavor text.

Fright Night is worth it if you love the spooky, haunted house aesthetic. The model is absolutely stunning, though the VFX are hit-or-miss with some recolored particles. "Best" really depends on your preferred theme:
The verdict? Fright Night excels in model quality but lags in particle effects. For better overall VFX, consider Space Groove or Papercraft. Compare all options: All Nunu & Willump Skins. Want instant access? See Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
