Fright Night Pyke dresses the champion as a horror-themed lifeguard, trading his hooded, ghostly fisherman look for beachwear and carnage: he’s topless with torn red-and-black shorts, a smiling red bandana, and a mohawk, and his skin uses rough sketch lines and squiggle textures across skin and weapons to give a raw, hand-drawn feel compared to base Pyke’s spectral, slick look.
In-game, the color palette shifts from spectral blues and greens to deep reds and blacks, with VFX that feel inspired by Tim Burton's works rather than Pyke's usual ghostly motif. His Q (Bone Skewer) doesn't change much—the VFX are very similar to the base version. The W (Ghostwater Dive) creates a pencil-art swirl of blood around him. The effect on enemies is almost identical to base, just using red shark fins surrounding the target instead of green ones. E (Phantom Undertow) leaves red-black smear trails and spiral marks when he dives, which is by far the best effect on this skin—maybe except for the ultimate. R (Death from Below) spawns the usual X mark on the ground that then erupts with a scary boogeyman face in the middle, surrounded by red-black thorns angling toward it.
Animations include a custom recall where he pretends to swim. Aside from that, there are no other animation changes, which is typical for epic skins.
The skin sits in the Fright Night skinline and leans on summer-camp and slasher-horror tropes rather than any single film or brand, using campy lifeguard imagery and penciled art motifs as its reference; it adds character through sound and visual quirks without changing Pyke’s core kit.

Notes: Launched as part of the Fright Night skinline with new VFX/SFX, a pencil-art W effect, special kill sounds, and a swim-themed recall; no major post-release redesigns have been noted.
Fright Night is part of the Neighborhood Nightmare universe. It recasts champions as gothic, campy monsters and spooky camp counselors. The look leans on dark, Tim Burton–style designs. Costumes and VFX feel eerie, playful, and a little sad.
This universe officially bundles two thematics: Fright Night (camp counselors, haunted houses, monstrous neighbors) and its sister line Goth (moody, melancholy gothic looks).
Lore: Small towns hide strange houses and cursed camps. The Toadstool Boarding House takes in every monster that needs a place. Mother Glasc tends the rooms and the residents. At Creepaway Camp, counselors and campers meet uncanny fates. Some champions are transformed into creepy lifeguards, trampolining tricksters, or haunted toys. The skins lean into that shared, spooky setting.
Trivia: The Fright Night line draws heavy inspiration from Tim Burton films like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands. The line pairs dark whimsy with camp motifs. In Veigar's interactions, he references being a fan of Fiddlesticks.
Rarity rules: Common = skins still sold for RP. Semi-Rare = hard-to-get mythic-shop / special cases. Rare = old, no longer available. Ultra-rare = tied to IRL events or very short offers. Fright Night Pyke is a 1350 RP Epic skin that was released in the 2024 Fright Night event. It is not ultra-rare. Because Fright Night Pyke is an Epic (1350 RP) skin, it can appear as a shard from Hextech/Masterwork chests and can be gifted via Mystery Gift when it’s in the store or available in loot. Anything above mythic rarity (true mythic or special event-only items) is not obtainable through Hextech; mythic skins are also excluded from Mystery Gift. "Best" is subjective and depends on personal preference. Fright Night Pyke is a strong cosmetic choice if you enjoy spooky, watery lifeguard vibes with altered VFX. However, the skin lacks additional features—most ability VFX are simply recolors, though the unique SFX on kills are a nice touch.
