Nightbringer Jarvan IV turns the Crown Prince into a wrathful war-god. He trades Demacia’s polished blue plate for jagged crimson-and-gold armor with volcanic texture, exposed chest and arms, and a horned crown that sharpens his silhouette. The spear is heavier and wickedly barbed, wrapped in embers that lick from the tip and shoulders, while his eyes burn a vivid red. Compared to base Jarvan, the palette flips to deep reds and blackened gold, with more negative space around the torso to accent the fiery effects.
Abilities follow the Nightbringer palette: Q slashes a demonic pink and red trail, W pulses a molten shield with a sigil-like burst, E plants an obsidian banner draped in crimson cloth and flame wisps, and R slams into a cracked arena spotted with infernal eyes. The E+Q combo feels weightier thanks to ash flecks and a searing streak that sells impact, and the Cataclysm ring reads clearly with jagged, lava-lit rock.
SFX are heavier and more infernal than base, with a low, gritty edge on impacts and a deep whoosh on dashes and slams. The voice uses the base lines run through a demonic filter that adds reverb and grit without changing the actor, keeping readability while matching the theme.
The custom recall leans into the chaos deity angle, surrounding Jarvan with swirling red-black flames as he poses with the spear before vanishing in cinders. The look sits neatly in the Nightbringer vs. Dawnbringer universe, framing him as an avatar of war opposing the order of the Dawn. The horned crown, glowing cracks, and sigils are classic “fallen war god” motifs rather than a direct reference to a specific work, but they echo dark fantasy imagery.
Chromas available: Amethyst, Citrine, Emerald, Obsidian, Pearl, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire. These shift the armor metal and flame tints while keeping the same infernal effects, so you can push brighter golds or darker obsidian without losing theme clarity.
Quality-of-life updates include refreshed SFX and VFX on earlier patches and new ability icons later, so the kit reads cleanly in modern play while keeping the Nightbringer identity intact.
Release date: April 20, 2023.
Notable updates: V8.14 – Updated SFX; V8.19 – New VFX; V13.18 – New ability icons.
Nightbringer and Dawnbringer is a cosmic-themed universe that pits chaos against order. Champions become gods or avatars of night (change, entropy) or dawn (order, structure), with bold armor, celestial motifs, and dramatic red/gold/blue VFX.
This setting is part of the broader Versus universe, officially spanning three thematics: Battle of the God-Kings, Nightbringer, and Dawnbringer. The line’s core idea is conflict: “All things are born from conflict; none can escape it.”
Lore highlights: deities of night bring upheaval while dawn’s gods impose structure; iconic matchups include Riven vs. Yasuo and the brothers Nasus (effect) vs. Renekton (cause). Trivia: Soraka has both Nightbringer and Dawnbringer legendaries, Kayn battles Rhaast within, and several entries ship with wide chroma sets (Catseye, Ruby, Tanzanite, and more).
It’s not rare. Nightbringer Jarvan IV is a 1350 RP Epic shop skin that rotates in regularly, so it’s considered Common. If you want an account that already owns it, browse curated skin accounts here: Buy LoL Skin Accounts.
Yes. Because it isn’t legacy or mythic, it can drop as a shard from Hextech/Masterwork chests and can appear in Mystery Gifts (drops are never guaranteed). You can also reroll shards or upgrade it with Orange Essence, or look at verified LoL Accounts that already have it unlocked.
It’s a strong pick if you like darker fantasy VFX and a dramatic recall. However it's just an epic skin, many players also rate God King Jarvan IV for its legendary scope and VO, and Warring Kingdoms Jarvan IV for a regal look. Compare them all here: All Jarvan IV Skins.
Legacy skins are still obtainable thanks to our high end account store which features League of Legends accounts with the rarest skins at the best prices.
