HEARTSTEEL Kayn recasts the jungler as a stage performer mixing rock, rap and comic-book visuals. The core silhouette stays the same — he still wields a scythe and shifts between forms — but textures, colors and accessories are louder: a black-and-yellow stage outfit, an eyepatch, and pink-to-purple hair replace the base's darker assassin look while the scythe distorts between purple and orange for a neon, warped effect.
Each form is uniquely stylized: the Rhaast (red) form gets a hood, a smiling mask and large purple antlers with glitchy deep-blue/orange/pink VFX, while the Shadow Assassin form goes topless with green hair and a green-pink scythe and uses bright green/pink/yellow effects; the base Heartsteel palette mixes green, purple and pink. Abilities adopt comic-book motifs, with slashes, pop bursts and panel-like accents rather than the base's grimmer energy trails.
Visually and mechanically the skin adds new ability VFX and SFX, custom basic attacks, new ability animations per form, fresh emotes and a homeguard animation, and a parkour recall that runs a short course and paints a screen-like, panelled effect around Kayn. Perhaps it's supposed to be an arcade dance machine?
Audio-wise the skin features roughly 12 minutes of new voiceover by Robbie Daymond and updated SFX that lean into the stage persona and comic-book energy. The skin is part of the HEARTSTEEL skinline and ships with five chromas: Citrine, Pearl, Rockstar, Rose Quartz and Ruby.
Overall it's a really solid skin given the sheer amount of content added. The video showcasing it is over 14 minutes long, the new voicelines are over 11 minutes! It's a major overhaul of Kayn as it should be given that it's a Legendary skin. I'm not a big fan of this skin line, but I have to say they really did an outstanding job with this one!

Lore (short): HEARTSTEEL formed from misfits and stars who wanted to make raw, emotional music. They tour hard, fight for creative control, and use their music like a weapon or a spotlight—depending on the moment. Kayn, haunted by his dual nature, channels both himself and Rhaast into performance, making his shows dangerous and memorable.
Trivia: The HEARTSTEEL set released November 8, 2023. Kayn's entry is a Legendary-tier skin. Some members, like Yone, also received a Prestige edition tied to event tokens.
