Although skins don’t equal wins, there are plenty of desirable skins out there that players are itching to get their hands on.
Pretty much all of these skins on the list are legacy skins, which means there is no way to currently obtain them in game. However, if you really want to get a rare skin and impress your friends, then we do have some legacy skins available in our skindex.
So what are the rarest LoL skins in game? Here’s what you need to know.
Quite a lot of players after adding it as a reward for honor 5
Grey Warwick was only obtainable to the players who referred enough players to the League of Legends. Surely, this was at the time when League of Legends was not as popular as today, and referring a player to the game was a bigger thing. However, players can finish season with level 5 honor and receive the skin along with some new chromas for it. This is not so easy, and obtaining this skin is difficult overall, which makes it rare.
Obtained by no More Than 25,000 Players
Vancouver Amumu was given to the players who attended the Winter Olympics in 2010 which was held in Vancouver, Canada. It is interesting that a League of Legends skin was distributed in a non LoL related event, which made the skin even more rare. It is not possible to purchase this skin from the store, but players can obtain it from mystery gifts.
The colors of bandages in Vancouver Amumu represent the colors of Olympics: red, blue, yellow, green, and black.
Obtained only on a handful of Season 1 accounts about 60,000
The Judgement Kyle skin was gifted to the players who played at least ten games during season one in League of Legends. Considering the fact that season one was in 2010-2011, and it was never available again, the Judgement Kyle skin is pretty rare.

As many players know, 2011 Pax Sivir skin was gifted to players who transferred their accounts to Singapore server from NA/Europe servers. Since the skin was only available to some players, it became rare and desirable. Years later, Riot Games released Neo Pax Sivir which uses the same model with Pax Sivir and kinda looks like an updated version of the original one.
To get this new version of Pax Sivir, players should have attended the PAX event in 2017. Also, the skin was available to purchase with gemstones until the end of 2017.
Nowadays , the only other option to buy the code of the skin is getting it from the secondary market since it is not listed in any official store.
Obtained on Around 1% of all accounts
Just like many rare League of Legends skins, Triumphant Ryze was released in the first years of League of Legends. It was released in 2010 and was gifted to the players who have won major tournaments at those times. Since there are only bunch of winners from 2010 got this skin, chances of seeing these skins in your games are nearly zero.
Obtained on Around 2.279% of All Accounts
PAX Sivir was gifted to visitors who attended the PAX event in 2011. Similar to PAX Jax and PAX Twisted Fate it features the League of Legends Champion Sivir with PAX branding and a Tron theme. This skin just falls out of the top 10 rarest League of Legends skins because of the popularity of the PAX 2011 event. It's far rarer than the Pax Twisted Fate, offered at the 2009 event.
Obtained on 1.938% of All Accounts
UFO Corki was released as a promotional skin back in 2010 and was given for free to all accounts registered before 2010. The skin features Corki in a UFO and is rarely seen on the rift due to how rare the skin is, as well as veteran players leaving the game. The fun aspect of this skin, as well as the new sounds, animations and visuals have lead this to be an extremely sought after skin. Unfortunately, Riot has never shown any interest in making it obtainable again.
Obtained on 1.193% of All Accounts
Championship Riven is a legendary skin released back in 2012 to celebrate the 2012 World Championships and then re-released during the 2016 World Championships. Fortunately for the owners of the original skin Riot decided to slightly modify the Championship Riven skin to feature a crown, an updated sword and a special loading screen border.
Obtained on 1.188% of All Accounts
Pax Jax, similar to Pax Twisted Fate, was gifted to players that attended the Penny Arcade eXpo, although in this case, it was back in 2012. As the player base was bigger in 2012 this skin was easier to obtain than the Pax Twisted Fate skin so it's not as rare, although it's still obtained on just 1% of all accounts. This skin has previously been sold online for a few hundred dollars and features a reference to the iconic video game character Pac-Man.
Obtained on 1.000% of All Accounts
Kayle is one of the most iconic League of Legends champions, and as an original champion, she has received her fair share of rare skins. Obtained on just 1% of all accounts, Silver Kayle is one of the rarest League of Legends skins you can see. The skin was rewarded to players that pre-purchased the collector’s edition and hasn't been available since 2014, when Riot disabled skin codes. This leaves the only way to obtain this skin to purchase an account with it already on.

The victorious skins are rewarded to players at the end of the ranked season with an ELO of Gold or higher. While there are currently 6 Victorious skins in the game, Victorious Jarvan is definitely the rarest. It was a reward for players from Season 1, back when the community was still growing and the League of Legends world championship final was in a room with just a handful of fans. The fact that few players even played back in Season 1, and you had to be gold, puts this rare skin into our top 10.
Obtained on 0.749% of All Accounts
Based on the Mario villain Bowser, King Rammus is a rare League of Legends skin released at the end of the League of Legends beta. This skin is therefore only available to true League of Legends veterans, and although it's officially on around 0.75% of all accounts, we think, due to inactivity, this number is probably a lot smaller.
Obtained on 0.390% of All Accounts
Pax Twisted Fate is one of the most expensive second hand rare League of Legends skins available. It was given to the players attending the Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX) event back in 2009 through a redeemable code. Since then players have sold this code for up to $450 online. As of 2014 Riot have made skin codes no longer redeemable so this skin is now impossible to obtain. Although it is available on the UnrankedSmurfs Skin Shop.

Young Ryze, previously known as Human Ryze, is the third rarest skin in League of Legends and was released back in 2009. One of the first skins to ever be released, Black Alistar is a skin which turns Alistar into a black minotaur. Rusty Blitzcrank is a skin that first came out in 2009 and was quickly removed from the store due to complaints the skin had little effort put into it. The fact that the skin was quickly removed, coupled with few players purchasing it, has made this the rarest League of Legends skin available.
Currently, all of these skins are no longer obtainable in game. However, here at Unranked Smurfs we have a super League of Legends skins store with plenty of rare skins available! Form PAX Twisted Fate to Black Alistair to Championship Riven, we have all the rare LoL skins you can think of.
